Q: DePopper worked fine until some weeks ago, but now when I try to process my audio files I see a message like this: "Could not open file myfile_tmp.wav". What happens?
A: Most likely reason for this problem: you installed something on your computer that replaced the original default DirectShow mp3 decoder by another one that is not working properly.
With DePopper 2 (but not with DePopper 3), this can happen to wav files too, because DePopper 2 uses DirectShow to decode wav files that use the WAVEFORMATEX header (end of 90s) instead of WAVEFORMAT header (beginning of 90s).
If you have this problem with DePopper 2, try upgrading to the newest version available. If the problem persists after the upgrade, contact us.
