Q: What are the differences between DePopper 2 and DePopper 3?
A: What is new in DePopper 3 (when compared to DePopper 2):
- Presets. Use predefined settings in accordance to your needs, or create your own presets based on your specific adjusts.
- Redesigned Small Pops settings window, with a new precision level.
- New Reverse Channels option in Stereo Modifiers filter.
- Unicode support.
- Multiple CPU support (parallel processing).
- CPU usage control (for computers with low heat dissipation).
- Increased precision in "Filter Frequencies", for better center channel extraction (from mono sources recorded as stereo).
- New time window adjust in Minimize Small Pops filter prevents audible short gaps in very will preserved classical music records.
- Free main window resize. Now it's possible to resize DePopper main screen.
- Full MP3 support (but we still recommend uncompressed wav for maximum quality).
- DePopper 3 now writes wav files with the same header as Wave Editor. If a program opens files written by Wave Editor, then it will open files written by DePopper 3 too!
- New advanced option for closing the program after processing.
- Now it's possible to lower DePopper priority when processing a set of files.
- Flexibility. Advanced Options is now available in the Options screen, as well as in the system menu.
- Less vulnerable to registry damages. If other invasive program erases your key code, DePopper will regenerate your registration in the next use and will no longer prompt for your key code.
- Minimum Windows version required now is Windows 2000 Pro (works fine on XP, Vista and Seven).
- Fixed bug with mono wav files in Big Clicks filter with Extra Precision.
- Fixed a potential crash in low memory computers.
- Fixed some possible freezings with disk full.
- Fixed disk space validation bug with network and root directories.
