Q: Batch Transformer does not open files written with DePopper 2 in my computer, but opens files recorded with Wave Editor. Why?
A: DePopper 2 writes files using an old wav standard, defined early in the 90s, while Wave Editor writes files using a newer wav standard, that practically all programs use today. However, this small difference should not affect Batch Transformer, that normally can open and transform DePopper 2 wav files without any problem. You can see this in these videocaptures recorded from real computers (click only on the link that corresponds to your Windows version):
As you can see from the video, Batch Transformer and DePopper 2 work fine together.
Note: DePopper 3 writes with the new format, like Wave Editor (and unlike DePopper 2). If any program that you have accepts files written with Wave Editor, very probably it will accept files written with DePopper 3, but the same not necessarily will happen when using the old DePopper 2. If you have problems with any program opening files written by DePopper 2, but opening normally files written by Wave Editor, we strongly advise to upgrade to DePopper 3.
